Project Objectives

The Trabzon Urban Transport Master Plan set out to examine the city's transport problems in the light of the strategies laid down in the Master Development Plan, to assess how well the existing infrastructure performs and to restructure it around real demand. The work concentrated on strengthening public transport, easing traffic congestion and drawing active travel modes into a single coherent network.

It also sought to make urban mobility safer, more efficient and more sustainable, to strike a workable balance between modes and to put forward environmentally responsible solutions.
