Project Objectives

This assessment examines, as a whole, the effects the new Ankara Courthouse will have on the transport network once it opens. Existing traffic flows, capacity utilisation, junction performance and public transport integration were reviewed in order to establish the measures needed to manage the additional vehicle and pedestrian movements the building will generate. Rather than confining itself to present-day problems, the study also sets out forecasts for future growth and development scenarios, so that it feeds into long-term transport planning.

The work further covers infrastructure improvements, junction alterations, signal optimisation and pedestrian-friendly measures intended to improve accessibility, safety, sustainability and quality of service, so that vehicle and pedestrian movement around the courthouse remains balanced and efficient.
